Full Version: Deliverance Settings? Beau?
Saosin Message Board > SaoBoard > Ask The Band
James...
I'm just wondering what settings Beau is using live on his VHT Deliverance.

Oh and while we're on the subject of amps, what mics are the guys using live on their cabs? I didn't see that in the faq.

Thanks.
Chris O'Neil
i know that in the live DVD they used a 57 mic for justin's cab, and the sound guy used a blueball (or something like that) with beau's amp, so i would assume they use 57's, but not certain

Edit: yep

ya, the dvd was just a 57 on justins guitar.. and on mine was a blue ball... not my first choice, but our sound guy really liked it on my guitar...

there wasnt much eq. maybe just a little top end added.

He turns the "Brutal" knob all the way up.
Jesse.
They used to use ribbon mics on their cabs. They weren't Royers, but they were ripoffs of the R-121...

All that to say, I didn't look back in November. Sorry, dudes. I also failed to get the amp settings even though I probably could've...

Don't look at me in that tone of voice.

you forgot to mention the brutal knob. I think last time I saw your amp it was set to 11. not 11 o'clock... just 11.
James...
Yay!

Monty, there actually is a "brootal" switch on that amp. It's called more mode. basically adds gain to everything.

because there isn't enough gain on the amp already

i recently switched to splawn amps. ive been playing a quickrod and matching cab and loving it. thinking of getting a nitro to swap out with my deliverance. the splawn just has more of a classic marshall tone, but thicker and more br00tal.

here are the settings i am using on warped.

presence 10 oclock
trebble 930
mids 10 oclock
bass 1 oclock
gain 12 oclock
