This is just one of the blogs I read and I am a bit jostled I guess. I actually bought my Saosin CD at a Christian music store and well this little poem rips Christ right out of Christian so is Saosin actually Christian or not? I'm not bashing them so please don't take it that! I am very nonjudgmental just very... curious I guess. But also I am very serious about my faith and what I put through my ears and I just hoped I could get some help here from anyone. (I have seen a post that Cove is Mormon. I will be looking that religion up for my own curiosity for more in depth understanding.) Thank you for all the help and directing me! And I really mean no harm in this question!

A Poem of Sorts

Lies are uncovered,

But you can’t it stop now,

And in her prayer,

She stutters,

Stop’s and slowly recovers,

Her words felt meaningless,

Her words fell meaningless,

“Now,” He said, “You are all my children.

But only those who are broken,

Will ever reap the benefits.”

So we all stood and sang, “You are not our God!

And on her dirty feet,

The child weeps,

Because he spoke like a Savior,

And he was mistaken for God,

But he’s just a man,

A very arrogant corrupt individual,

One who doesn’t see us,

You're reading into this poem too literally. Learn to discern lyrics before you decide they're anti-christian. This poem isn't even talking about Jesus. It's using him as a metaphor for something else.

And yes Cove is mormon. And the other 4 guys in this band aren't outspoken at all. I've followed them for over 5 years and not a single word has come out of their mouths regarding politics/religion.
